“[To] any positive girl or woman in the world, I would say own whatever experience you’re having. You hold space too, you are important too. No one else can write this outline of your life better than you.“

This sex-positive journey has been very hard. The laws in Florida are not nice.

It’s just very difficult. I am still very new on my sexual experience journey. I didn’t have sex for the first time until 25 and that was the first time I dealt with disclosure, condoms, sexual identity, and I think that sometimes as women, right, society puts us in this responsible role. You are the responsible person each time and every time, and when I stopped believing into that, I live a lot better.

When I disclose, I disclose, and what this other party decides to do with that information is their own business and if they’re okay with it, we can move forward. If they’re not, then we don’t move forward.

But I’m owning it. I’m telling the truth and this is how I feel because I’m still new to the experience.

So [to] any other positive girl woman in the world, I would say own whatever experience you’re having you hold space to and you are important to and nobody else can write this outline of your life better than you. We have a great opportunity to create those boundaries and to create those outlines and they create those narratives because they’re not there and and your voice is important and my voice is important in HIV is not a crime and I’m not a crime and and I’m liberated growing and I’m progressing and I’m beautiful and smart and courageous and I am worth love and and I just I feel so powerful in that and I hope other women feel powerful too and that’s my story.
